CULTURAL VIDEO FOUNDATION
The creation of new creative spaces is fundamental in order to support freedom of expression for different minorities. Under this project, a series of five, short artistic documentaries are made in virtual reality (VR), focusing on how creative spaces can achieve a diverse, cultural impact of the social development of an area. Each documentary highlights different art collectives that are reshaping the urban landscape of Nairobi.
Cultural Video Foundation envisions a world in which democracy and human rights can benefit all people by involving marginalized groups, especially women and youth. They hope to involve these groups in the development of a more participatory and open society through information communication technology (ICT) tools, such as video, photography and the use of both, new and old media.
